We’ve empowered 858 kids outdoors since our founding in 2018.
We’ve empowered 858 kids outdoors since our founding in 2018. This number is incredible! We are so proud of each of our 858 youth for trying something new and branching out of their comfort zones to join us.
Let's Go Mike!
Over the past week, friend of Elevate Youth Mike Dacey conquered the 300-mile VTXL Bike Route, all in the name of EY!
Girls Trip!!
Elevate Youth kicked off our fall programming in a unique way this year – a girl’s hiking trip to the White Mountains! After school on Friday, September 16th, Sophie, Hailey, and 10 youthers from around Boston piled into our van to head up to New Hampshire.
What We're All About
As our beloved youthers are headed back to school in the coming weeks, Elevate Youth’s schedule is looking a little different. Our mission, though, stays the same.
Final Summer Adventure
The rumor going around is that summer is coming to a close… that has not stopped Elevate Youth from an incredible final week of summer programming! For four straight days, EY Staff (and some amazing volunteers) brought a cohort of kids from the BCYF Leahy Holloran Center on back-to-back trips for our Adventure Camp.
A Week of Adventures!
It’s finally happening: the Back to School ads. While Target and Walmart are ready for you to branch back into fall again, Elevate Youth (and the 90 degree weather) still have a firm grasp on summer. This week, EY ran a full week of Adventure Camp for the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester with no mention of school.
Harlem Lacrosse: Thompson Island & Surfing!
While Camp Elevate may have finished up, the summer fun continues! This week, Elevate Youth partnered with Harlem Lacrosse to bring kids outside, try new things, and connect them with mentors.
Another week to remember!
What an amazing three weeks we’ve had! This week concluded our Elevate Youth summer camp. And just as the two weeks before, it will be a week never forgotten for our campers and everyone who took part. This week we were joined by Elevate Youthers from the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. We traveled up to their new home for three days at Lantern Lights Camp in Deerfield, NH on Tuesday morning.
Camp Elevate in Action!
Today, Elevate Youth celebrates the completion of another successful week of Camp Elevate! We partnered with the West End House Boys and Girls Club to explore the natural beauty of New England.

“‘My favorite thing about camp was the water front.” - Zaria
“My favorite thing about camp was the bonfire.” - Cam
Hello from Hailey!
Hello everyone!! My name is Hailey and I am ecstatic to join the Elevate Youth team as a Lead Outdoor Instructor! I’m so excited to get to know Boston, the amazing people around here, and to introduce myself to you.
Boys and Girls Club Adventure to the Harbor Islands
Summer has fully begun with ferry rides and island adventures! The Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester partnered with Elevate Youth last weekend for a day of tidepool exploration and hiking at Thompson Island. Thompson Island is one of Boston’s thirteen harbor islands run by the Outward Bound Education Center.
A Taste of Summer
As the weather warms, we begin to look forward to the magical time year many of us remember with fondness from when we were kids. The suspense of the countdown till the last day of school followed by the free time to explore outside, hang with friends, travel, experience new things, and maybe even attending an overnight camp.
Welcome to Orienteering!
With Spring in full bloom in New England, our Elevate Youth Odyssey participants were able to venture outside and explore the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is a timed scavenger hunt in the woods where participants have to use map reading skills, landmarks, and their athletic ability to find marked checkpoints in a designated area.
EARTH DAY !
At Elevate Youth, this is one of the most important days of the year. For us, it is a celebration of Mother Nature, and all that she provides for us. We see these benefits everyday, from the smiles on our youth's faces when they make their first turn on skis, to the excitement we hear when they catch their first fish, or the curiosity and emotion which comes out when discussing climate change in the classroom.
For the love of Nature
We haven't written a blog post about the bigger picture purpose of Elevate Youth for a while now, and though it is deeply ingrained into all of our programming and is a passion for all of our instructors, it's always good to take some time and reflect on why we do what we do and then share those ideas with anyone who will listen.
Spring is coming!
We’ve had a seriously awesome winter here at Elevate Youth with lots of time spent enjoying the colder temps and a decent amount of snow. We're actually pretty sad to see this winter go - but luckily we've got this coming Spring season starting officially on March 20th, 2022 to give us all something to look forward to!
Downhill Skiing with Harlem Lacrosse
Harlem Lacrosse takes on downhill skiing @ Blue Hills!
XC Skiing with Harlem Lacrosse
On this most recent Saturday 1/22/22, Elevate Youth organized for around 20 kids from Harlem Lacrosse to go XC Skiing at Weston Ski Track in Weston, MA.
Letter from our Executive Director
I hope that you and your loved ones continue to remain safe and in good health. Yes, 2021 was a year full of surprises and unknowns; however, our community and youth have shown incredible resilience, innovation, and flexibility.
