Celebrating School Staff: The Bridges Behind Our Odyssey Program

Our work in public schools across Boston would not be possible without the support, dedication, and insight of our incredible school liaisons. These teachers, administrators, and family liaisons not only help us coordinate programming, but also connect us deeply to each school community through their relationships, knowledge, and care.

Every week, our liaisons show up with the kind of energy that makes a lasting difference. They open their classrooms, share their perspectives, and go above and beyond to support both our staff and the students we serve.

Whether it’s offering thoughtful context about a student’s day-to-day experience, helping us communicate with families, or simply creating a warm space filled with laughter (and sometimes even a closet of fun toys!), educators bring something invaluable to our work.

Some liaisons are teachers who’ve earned deep respect and admiration from their students - offering guidance, cracking jokes, and creating a classroom environment where kids feel safe to be themselves. Others are the ones students instinctively gravitate toward after school, drawn to their humor, wisdom, and their ability to gently but firmly hold boundaries. And some serve as family liaisons, holding a deep understanding of students’ home lives and family dynamics - ensuring we can provide the most thoughtful, personalized support possible.

These connections matter. Whether they’re helping us navigate school systems, joining us on outings, or reeling in the biggest catch on a fishing trip, our liaisons are a vital part of the Elevate Youth community. Their presence builds the trust and continuity our school programs need to thrive.

To each of our school liaisons: thank you. You are the bridges between us and the youth we serve. You remind us that strong partnerships rooted in care and consistency are what make this work meaningful. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful to walk alongside you in this work.

Cheers to our school liaisons!
