Youth Speaker

“And we know God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28.

“I want teenagers to know that they matter to God. I work daily with teenagers who believe because of their family life, mistakes, or struggles they are limited in their relationship with God. Teenagers need to know that regardless of what has happened in their lives, it is never too late to come back to their Creator and start living for Him! My goal is to excite teenagers in living for the Lord and instill hope to this important generation. My passion is addressing tough issues from a biblical and psychological perspective so that teenagers know they are not alone and can live in freedom!” – Julia Sadler

Julia Sadler is a counselor who specializes in treating teenagers struggling with self harm, depression, eating disorders and suicide. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, supervised by Dr. Cobern, at Meier Clinics. She has her BA in Psychology and MA in Counseling. Julia has been working with teenagers for the past eight years and speaking regularly on these topics.

After struggling personally with these issues as a teen, Julia has devoted her life to encouraging teenagers not to give up. She believes that through awareness and education many lives can be saved. She is the 7th – 12th grade girls ministry director at First Baptist Church, Dallas.

“The majority of Christian teenagers feel alone in their struggles,” she says. “They need to hear that others have walked the same path and come out alive on the other side. The majority of Christian teenagers do not understand the connection between their daily struggles, addictions, temptations and the Bible. There is no limit to how God can change your life when you come back to the Father who is waiting for you with open arms!”

Julia Sadler spoke to our middle and upper school students in chapel this spring. She had an authentic, open discussion about dating and relationships. She consistently challenged the students to think about their futures and what kind of person they ultimately wanted to marry. I specifically liked when she said, “The bait you use determines what you catch.” Students need to hear more messages of purity and self-respect, such as the one Julia delivered, so that young  people in today’s culture are encouraged to hold to their personal convictions and choices that go against the “everyone does it” mentality. Thank you, Julia, for being that voice for our students.

Julia Sadler is such an encouragement to all who have the opportunity to hear her speak. She speaks relevant truth to today’s young people that they can related to, comprehend, and trust. The teenagers she speaks to are always eager to hear what she has to say, and so am I! Not only is she a great speaker, she is an absolute amazing role model and is always honest in her approach in whatever topic she is discussing. It is my pleasure and honor to be able to work alongside her, learn from her, and listen to her heart and passion for speaking the truth.

Julia is a dynamic, insightful, and powerful speaker! Recently, I had the privilege of bringing Julia Sadler to speak at our high school girls’ retreat. She immediately connected on a personal level with our girls and communicated powerful Truth that greatly impacted the lives of our students. Julia is scripturally deep, articulate, and personally engaging in her delivery. After evaluation of our retreat, the girls unanimously voted Julia as their favorite part of the entire retreat!
